Shane has over 30 years experience working with organisations across a diverse range of industries to grow sales, increase profits and improve the marketing and promotion of their business.

Shane established Shane Fitzgibbon & Associates after a successful career in the corporate world. “I wanted to help small and medium business owners with what I had learned”, according to Shane. “Having been on both sides of the fence both as a client and supplier, I recognised the complexities and challenges of building world class, sales and marketing strategies”.

Over his career, he has owned and operated a number of successful commercial businesses with bottom line P&L responsibility. He has been Marketing Manager for a manufacturing business, a Retail Manager as well as having established and operated a sales and marketing consultancy, which he later sold. He has also been a Board Support Officer for an ASX listed company, as well as a Business Manager for a health and wellness clinic, owner of a graphic design business and an online learning company.

Shane is the author of Stop Managing Projects: Start Leading Them, a practical guide to human‑centred project leadership. The book introduces leaders to the principles of clarity, alignment, and influence — and explores why the role of the project sponsor is often the “make or break” factor in organisational success. Available in on Amazon in paperback and Kindle, the book is designed for leaders who want to elevate their impact and deliver outcomes without the chaos.

He has worked and consulted to large corporates as well as having gained experience working for an international consulting company where he helped companies with their revenue and sales strategies.

He has worked as Transformation / Change Training Lead for Telstra Business and is well skilled in change and organisational development initiatives.

He has also delivered workshops for the Australian Institute of Management in Project Management.

In his last role prior to establishing Shane Fitzgibbon & Associates, Shane held the positions of Learning and Development Manager and Instructional Design and Development Manager for Telstra Business. He has also worked in a number of roles as Project Manager.  Shane’s formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Education. He also has a Graduate Diploma in Marketing from Monash University. He lives in Melbourne Australia.
